11/8/00 -  The Village of Alorton will be safer now, thanks to 3 new Ford police cruisers and a new Kenworth Fire truck.  The cruisers should be in use by the end of October and will assist in patrolling  the I-255 interstate and IL Route 15 traffic that passes through town. The fire truck holds 1000 gallons of water and is capable of 1250 gpm when connected to a hydrant.
