Clay County 911     Kim Dillard    618-662-7070  911 Cordinator

11/03 Clay County 911 is currently in operation as a BASIC 911 SERVICE.   155.310 is going to be the Clay County E-911 Dispatch frequency with a PL of 136.5  it is a repeater which you already have the info on as far as input and all.    911 will answer the Ambulance calls and dispatch them beginning in a few months.  The "furniture" for the radios have been ordered which will house the consoles.
The system will consist of several repeaters which will be for each fire dept already not on a repeater I have those frequencies and towns listed below.  Flora Fire Dept will not be changing their frequency due to already being dispatched by the Police Dept in Flora and also already having a repeater.  Clay County 911 will operate from the Flora Police Dept building in an addition on the North Side of the building.
------
2/03 - Construction is ongoing in the Flora PD for the PSAP. Speaking of which the signs are up in Clay County all road signs showed up about last Sunday.
12/02 - System is up and running   The only PSAP at this time is the Flora Police Dept who is currently expanding which the footing for the extending of the PD to the north is beginning.  The Sheriff's Dept is not set up yet I don't think.  Calls come into Flora which in turn phones the county to dispatch deputies, hospital to dispatch medics, and this is done via phone they will learn they can use radios better.  I have heard the Clay County medics be assigned numbers now so they will probably be doing the dispatching from the 911 PSAP??.  Road signs have yet to be placed out.
May use 155.31 as frequency?
