Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP's) for the Marion County 9-1-1 System, are located at the Centralia Police Department and the Salem Police Department.  The answering and dispatching of 9-1-1 Calls are through a Intergovernmental Agreement between the Cities and the 9-1-1 Board. The agreement states that the Cities provide the answering and dispatching of emergency services agencies,  the 9-1-1 Board provides the 9-1-1 and Radio equipment. The Centralia PSAP has a Staff of (9) Telecommunicator's, the Salem PSAP has a Staff of (5)Telecommunicator's. The Radio System consist of a Orbacom Touch Screen, with a Tel Control Inc (TCI) 9-1-1 System.  The CAD System's vendor is HTE, with CAD V and CRIMES 5.0 Software. The Salem Police Department is one of two county wide enhanced 911 Public Safety Answering Points for Marion County.
